Pemerintah Republik Indonesia ingin sekali Bandara Kualanamu segera beroperasi menggantikan Bandara Polonia Medan. Oleh karena itu, hal-hal terkait kesiapan fasilitas menjadi perhatian utama. Tanggal 11 September 2012, Deputi Sekretaris Wakil Presiden RI Bidang Ekonomi mengundang Direktur Utama Angkasa Pura II untuk hadir dalam rapat pembahasan percepatan pembangunan Bandara Kualanamu - Sumatera Utara. Rapat diadakan di Grand Swissbel Hotel Medan mulai jam 9 pagi dengan agenda rapat meliputi percepatan pembangunan Bandara Kualanamu (sisi privat dan publik), pembangunan jalan akses non tol termasuk pembebasan lahan, perkembangan kereta api bandara, dan normalisasi kanal Belanda (Sei Ular dan Sei Serdang). Dalam rapat tersebut hadir juga pejabat-pejabat dari Kementerian Perhubungan, Kementerian BUMN, Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum, Kementerian Keuangan, Kementerian Hukum dan HAM, Pemerintah Daerah Sumatera Utara dan lain-lain.
We all care about development of Kualanamu Airport
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia wanted to operate Kualanamu Airport immediately in which replace Polonia Airport (IATA code: MDN), Medan. Therefore, matters related to the readiness of facilities is a major concern. On 11 September 2012, Deputy Secretary of the Vice President for Economic Affairs invited the President Director of Angkasa Pura II to attend the discussion meeting about accelerated development Kualanamu Airport - North Sumatra. Meetings are held at the Grand Swissbel Hotel Medan begin at 9 am with the meeting agenda includes accelerated development Kualanamu Airport (the private and public), non-toll roads, including access to land acquisition, development of the airport train, and normalization of the Dutch canal (Sei Ular and Sei Serdang ). In the meeting also attended by officials from the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of State Owned Enterprises, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Government of North Sumatra and others.(FR)
