PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) melanjutkan latihan Penanggulangan
Keadaan Darurat (PKD) di Bandara Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (SMB II) Palembang
pada tanggal 31 oktober 2012. Latihan PKD di bandara kebanggaan 'wong kito galo' (istilah untuk orang Palembang)
ini merupakan program latihan PKD yang dijadwalkan oleh Unit Airport Service Angkasa Pura II. Latihan PKD di Bandara SMB II merupakan latihan PKD
yang ke 3 setelah latihan PKD sebelumnya yang telah dilaksanakan di Bandara
Supadio (Pontianak) pada tanggal 11 Oktober 2012 dan Bandara Soekarno-Hatta
(Tangerang) pada tanggal 25 Oktober 2012.
Latihan PKD ini merupakan komitmen Angkasa Pura II untuk selalu
meningkatkan kesigapan personil dalam menanggulangi keadaan darurat yang dapat terjadi
kapan saja. Latihan PKD ini akan dijadwalkan oleh Angkasa Pura II untuk Bandara
Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Bandara Sultan Iskandar Muda (Aceh),
Bandara Sultan Thaha (Jambi) dan Bandara Depati Amir (Pangkal Pinang) dalam
tahun 2012 ini.
Bandara SMB II berhasil
mencatatkan waktu tanggap darurat (emergency
response time) selama 2.13 menit. Waktu tersebut jauh lebih cepat dari
toleransi maksimal yang diberikan International
Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), yaitu selama 3 menit.
”Emergency response time adalah toleransi waktu yang diberikan bagi
kendaraan Pertolongan Kecelakaan Penerbangan dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PKP-PK) mencapai lokasi kejadian setelah alarm tanda bahaya (crash bell) berbunyi.

PKD exercises will be scheduled by Angkasa Pura II to Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport (Pekanbaru), Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (Aceh), Sultan Thaha Airport (Jambi) and Depati Amir Airport (Pangkal Pinang) in the year 2012.
SMB II's airport recorded an emergency response time for 2:13 minutes. This time is much faster than the maximum tolerated given the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which is for 3 minutes.
"Emergency response time is the time tolerance is given to a Fire and Aviation Rescue vehicle to reach the accident point after the alarm (crash bell) on. (AG)
